On New Year's Eve we went to Tepperman's to buy furniture for the new house we have bought. We picked out a sectional for the family room, we picked out sofa and chairs for the living room, we got our dining room, and when we went to pick out our bedroom set we had 2 choices, both of them included the bed, dresser/mirror, chest and nightstand. When we decided which bedroom set we wanted the sales guy told us that the nightstand was not included, but clearly on the paper it said nightstand. So the sales guy said it was their mistake on the typo and that we would get the nightstand since it was stated that it was included with the price. The sales guy came back and said he was sorry and that he couldn't give us the nightstand because the manager didn't approve it. We asked to talk to the manager, and he told us that it was their mistake but the nightstand was not included in their package, we told him that we picked out that bedroom set because of the price and what was included in it. The manager then made us feel like WE were trying to scam THEM!!! he said "come on guys you know that's not right for me just to give you a nightstand" and we weren't asking for anything free, it was there mistake, we made plans of what the room was going to be as to what they advertised on their price tag.
We have bought so much from them and were planning to spend another $4000 that day, but the "Sales manager" would have rather lost that business and made his employee, the sales guy, loose his commission on New Years eve over a $270 nightstand, and a mistake that was theirs.
